Coatings

As a special feature we offer our customers an antimicrobial and wear-resistant PVD-AlTiN coating (coating thickness 2 µm), which is possible for all of our instruments.

Our coatings combine biocompatibility with a whole series of properties that are stable in the long term:

• Our coatings are abrasion resistant, scratch resistant and impact resistant
• Black coatings prevent surgeons being dazzled during the operation
• Our coatings also exhibit a high wear resistance in addition and ensure that the cutting edge of the instruments stays sharp for longer
• Improved sliding properties due to very low coefficient of friction
